Ethics and conduct
Our practice is guided by a Code of Ethics and Conduct and by the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) Code of Ethics and Discipline. We always act in compliance with the law and with respect for human rights, labor relations, the environment and free competition.
Confidentiality
Professional secrecy is a non-negotiable matter of public order. Client information is handled with the highest level of protection and restricted access, and our professionals receive ongoing training on the subject.
Conflict-of-interest prevention
Before every new engagement, we screen for potential conflicts of interest. With the client’s best interest always prevailing, we do not act in conflict situations.
Anti-corruption
We repudiate any practice that violates the Brazilian Anti-Corruption Act (Law No. 12,846/2013) and other applicable rules, maintaining strict standards of corporate integrity.
Privacy and data protection
We process personal data in compliance with the LGPD (Law No. 13,709/2018), with transparency, an appropriate legal basis and technical security measures.
Responsible use of artificial intelligence
The firm maintains a formally approved Artificial Intelligence Use Policy, drafted in accordance with the Brazilian Legal Profession Statute (Law 8,906/1994), the OAB Code of Ethics and Discipline (CFOAB Resolution 02/2015), Recommendation 001/2024 of the OAB Federal Council and the LGPD (Law 13,709/2018). Artificial intelligence tools are used exclusively as support instruments, in vetted environments and under permanent human supervision, with full preservation of professional secrecy, of the lawyer's technical independence and of the quality of our services. Every deliverable is reviewed and owned by a responsible lawyer, and clients are informed in advance of such use.
